This cartoon had nothing to do with
Matthew 18: 21-35 which was the Lectionary Gospel for September 14.
I usually check to make sure you are on track, and usually you are, but unfortunately for me you were so far off from queing on the lectionary gospel I think you were asleep at the wheel……….or perhaps I was.
It just confused my readers in our congregation.
I do like using your sense of humor to relay the scripture readings in our announcement page for our weekly services. Just another perspective never hurts.

Hey Candi, This is the gospel for Holy Cross Day, which is also on September 14, every year. We thought, since it fell to a Sunday, we’d feature that.
